Trip to Gardenia

This was a project in one of our TQM subject. We had to go Laguna to visit the plant site and know what are the processes and functions of the firm. Also had a plant tour inside and it's free, the staff are accommodating that makes it a whole fun experience. I encourage everyone to visit their office although it's in Laguna. See more pictures inside.

Viruses flooding Friendster

Not so friendly users now

Lately, I noticed that many of my friends had been messaging me with a subject named "WOW" and you'll see a message linking to a website. Once clicking the website, you'll be seeing a video sort of youtube. Now, don't click the video because it is a virus and I don't know what the effects are so better not click the link.

Another virus is the comment/ testimonial where your friends send a video comment to you the if you click the play button, you'll be directed to a login screen where you will have to put your username and password. Good thing my mozilla firefox browser informed me of these things, so watch out guys.

The Champion Team

Here's an update on my previous post a week ago . Yes, we did lost another game last night, yet we still gave the opponent one hell of a fight considering that they we're taller, heftier and more experienced than us. It was one joyful ride playing with the guys and hopefully we'll get that first win this sunday. See more pics inside.

Here's a quote that I'm sure all of you too would appreciate.
I love the winning, I can take the losing, but most of all I Love to play.

The player heard harsh words and was yelled by fellow teammate Kevin Garnett(KG) during the huddle after their big lead was squashed by a half. See the video and you'll see Ben sulking at the bench. So called for the name "Baby Shaq".

The Dream Match

Tomorrow, We'll be the day we've all been waiting for. The Dream Match: Manny “pacman” Pacquiao going up against Golden Boy Oscar dela Hoya. Manny the Pound for Pound best fighter will be fighting for the of his country while Oscar will be avenging the losses of fellow mexicans like Diaz, Morales and Barrera that Pacquiao easily crushed.

Actually there's quite a size disparity here because Pacquiao is at 5'6 and Oscar who is four inches taller that many experts say it's a mismatch and Golden Boy would be pulverizing Pacquiao.

With a 47-3 record, with 2 draws and 35 knockouts, Pacquaio is the current WBC lightweight champion after knocking out David Diaz in his last fight. Dela Hoya has 39-5 record, with 30 knockouts. He's also won world titles in six different weight classes.

Here are some advantages each boxer will have to bring in fight night in order to win.
Pacquaio: Speed, Power, Agressiveness, Youth
dela Hoya: Size, Experience, Height, Reach

Naruto Shippuden Episode 86 & 87

Jupiter, Venus and the moon make a smile

Last December 2, I was going home after school. It was around 8 in the evening somehow I gazed upon the sky and look I saw a smiley in the sky. The two stars forming the eyes and the shape of the moon clinching up the smile. It was really cool to see this once in a lifetime event, unfortunately I wasn't able to get pictures of it since I was in Divisoria and scared that my cellphone will be snatched. Well, the next day It was featured in the inquirer magazine. Amazing!

From the inquirer

MANILA, Philippines—Now showing in the Philippine night sky: A smiling face formed by the rare alignment of planets Venus and Jupiter and directly below it, the crescent moon.

Jose Pepe Mendoza, of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), told the Philippine Daily Inquirer Tuesday that Venus had aligned with Jupiter to form the right and left eyes respectively, while the moon, on its first phase, had formed a happy mouth.

Mendoza said there was a similar “planetary conjunction” of the same planets in February “but only in the morning sky ... It is pretty rare to see this in the evening sky.”

He explained that the moon was “waxing crescent into its first quarter” together with Venus and Jupiter against the background of the constellation Sagittarius.

The conjunction can be viewed, Mendoza said, in the country’s south-western horizon.

No smileys in US, Europe

The smiling face can also be seen in Australia. However, the sky show in the United States and Europe will have Jupiter, Venus and the moon in a frown, a survey of news reports on the Web showed.

Mendoza said the unusual alignment will be visible until January next year. Astronomers are in for another heavenly treat, he added, because on Dec. 13, there will be a meteor shower.

Is a smiley in the heavens a good or bad omen?

Good luck?

“There are people who believe that the smiling face would bring good luck. Or good results in whatever one undertakes,” Mendoza said.

However, he could not say if the alignment would be good for the country’s political situation.

According to an astrologer, Resti Santiago, the alignment bodes well for President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo in forming alliances and partnerships—a fortuitous coincidence, as her allies are marshalling moves to amend the Constitution allegedly to extend her term.
Her good luck, however, could be short-lived, he warned.

Turbulence next week

Basing his analysis on the astrological chart of the President, Santiago said: “Her chart shows that these days, there will be some luck for her in forming partnerships and alliances. This good luck has been activated by the recent alignment of three heavenly bodies ... but next week will be a turbulent time because the sun and Mars will form a negative alignment with Saturn and Uranus.”

Nonetheless, Santiago said, the “smiling face” will bring good luck since Venus and Jupiter are considered lucky planets.

Also in luck are those born in the signs of Taurus, Capricorn and Virgo, he said.

Fontana Resort.. A really scary incident

A month and 2 weeks ago, my blockmates decided that we have our semester break at a resort at Fontana in Pampanga. When we got there around 2pm we decided to rest first before we swim. After 2 hours of resting we decided that we're gonna swim unfortunately the resort was closed on mondays since it is their regular maintenance day. We decided that we'll swim on the following day, but two of my friends had paid a fee for a private pool, sauna and massage which i think costs around a thousand bucks.

Had dinner around 8pm yet they haven't arrived at our villa until past 10pm I was really worried that they haven't came back yet. Until the phone rang, and one of my friends said that he wants us to take us home(villa), after 5 seconds she called again telling us the fetch them up quick. I was wondering what could have happened they just called a few seconds ago, then another call rang at our villa and my other friend answered, I was feeling bad and weird about this and saw my friend who answered the phone like SHOCKED! I was asking him what happened then a text from my two friends with a message saying " Muntikan na kami mamatay" in english "we almost died". We ran to the clubhouse which is really long while the others got on the car.

Arriving there, we saw our 2 friends really pale and of course shocked. Apparently, They we're locked in the sauna and the one who was guarding it forgot to came back. So they we're banging the door and shouting because it was too hot already and one of the girls can't breathe anymore good thing the door moved a little then some of the people working there heard my friend we're shouting help. After they got out of the sauna, the people didn't know what to do like some where laughing which is really unappropriate.

The lady who was guarding the sauna was already protecting herself lying that she didn't left the sauna and was roaming around there. At least my friends we're alive and we we graduating this March 2009. Thank God. Apparently, my friends forgot to blatter the case they could charge the Resort there.

Tired of Losing...Sigh!

Our basketball team just lost a while ago in our basketball league at UST. The score was 82-90 if my memory ser ves right I scored 10 points, feel so down now that our win loss record now is 0-2 and we're at the bottom of the standings, btw we're bracketed against the stronger teams. Actually, I'm more depressed that we haven't a won a single game since last year so that makes an 8 game losing streak. What is the problem with our team, not that they're not good but we seem to break down during crunches. Sigh!..Oh by the way, I'm the one wearing the number 17 jersey.
